Angelina Jolie is NOT falling into Johnny Depp’s arms following her divorce from Brad Pitt, nor are their children calling Depp “Papa Johnny,” despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can easily correct this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
According to the National Enquirer, “cold-hearted” Jolie is finding comfort in the arms of one of Pitt’s “biggest rivals,” her The Tourist costar Depp. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Brad will go berserk when he finds out that Angie’s replaced him with Johnny,” who supposedly has kept in touch and spoken regularly with Jolie ever since his bitter divorce from Amber Heard. “Angie welcomed Johnny’s calls when he reached out to her after her split from Brad,” and even “hired Johnny’s lawyer to represent her in her divorce from Brad based on the advice that he’s given her,” contends the magazine’s questionable source.
What’s more, claims the publication, Depp has been making “under-the-radar” visits to Jolie’s hidden compound in California. “The chemistry between Angie and Johnny is off the charts,” further alleges the magazine’s misguided insider, adding wrongly that Depp has become a regular fixture in her children’s lives. “They call him ‘Papa Johnny,’ and [Depp] seems to be thriving in the presence of the young ones… She’s even set him up in one of the bedrooms,” contends the outlet’s tipster.
But it’s all lies. A source close to Jolie assures Gossip Cop the rumors are entirely “false.” Despite the supermarket tabloid’s absurd claims, Jolie is not falling into Depp’s arms following her split, nor are her children referring to the actor as “Papa Johnny.” In fact, Jolie and Depp are not even in contact.
Of course, Gossip Cop is not remotely surprised by this fabricated article. We called out the publication in 2014 for falsely alleging Jolie tried to warn Depp not to marry Heard. That story wasn’t true, and neither is this latest report.
