Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood performed their new duet, “Whiskey to Wine” during a segment that aired on Thursday’s “Good Morning America.” Watch the video below!
The country star sang in honor of the release of his new box set, Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Collection, which sold 134,000 copies in its first week alone. The set includes his new studio album, Gunslinger, which will be released separately on Friday. Brooks performed “Whiskey to Wine”for the first time ever in Septemebr during his concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, where he was joined by Yearwood. He described the song, which is included on his new album, as “a love song like you’ve never heard.” The duet describes two ex-lovers looking back on their relationship after both have moved on, and realizing their new romances aren’t as satisfying.
In addition to their song “Whiskey to Wine,” Brooks and Yearwood also have a joint Christmas album slated for release later this year. As Gossip Cop reported, Brooks also appeared on “GMA” in October to perform his new song “Baby, Let’s Lay Down And Dance,” which is featured on Gunslinger. The country star performed solo during his previous guest spot, but you can watch him sing alongside his better half in the video below!
