Laurie Hernandez celebrated her “Dancing with the Stars” win with Val Chmerkovskiy on Wednesday’s “GMA.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Hernandez and Chmerkovskiy won “DWTS” on Tuesday night, after being the frontrunners all season long. Immediately following the big finale, they and the rest of the finalists flew from Los Angeles to New York. Now they appeared on “Good Morning America” bright and early for a live after-party.
“It felt amazing,” Hernandez said of her victory. “I had that same joy that I had at the Olympics. It was exciting.” Of her incredible year, the teen said, “It was a lot that went on, but I’m so grateful.”
Chmerkovskiy, of course, had nothing but praise for his partner. “I think she brings out for me what she brings out in millions of people, which is youthful joy and a sense of gratitude. To see that in a young person is very inspiring.”
Third-place finisher Calvin Johnson demonstrated what his touchdown dance would be, and runner-up James Hinchcliffe lovingly said that the competition and pro Sharna Burgess closed a “gap” in his personal story. The group went on to give each other some superlatives and, naturally, participated in a dance-off. Check out the videos below!
