According to Spotify, streams of Janet Jackson’s 1986 hit “Nasty” have skyrocketed 250 percent after Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton a “nasty woman” at the third presidential debate on Wednesday, October 19. As viewers saw during Wednesday night’s final showdown between Republican nominee Trump, 70, and his Democratic rival Clinton, 68, the ex-Celebrity Apprentice host made the rude remark while the two candidates were discussing their plans for programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

"We need to put more money into the Social Security trust fund,” Clinton said, before taking a swipe at Trump, who has yet to disclose his taxes. "That's part of my commitment to raise taxes on the wealthy. My Social Security payroll contribution will go up, as will Donald's, assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it."
"Such a nasty woman,” Trump then said into his mic as Clinton continued to speak.

Though Clinton didn’t respond to the real estate tycoon’s dis, her supporters took to social media to turn #nastywoman into a term of empowerment — and to express their rediscovered love for Jackson’s “Nasty,” the second single off her third studio album, Control.
