The NBC drama, ordered for a full season, loses little steam.
This Is Us fared pretty strongly in its follow-up episode.
The drama, which NBC swiftly gave a full-season order after an impressive sampling and promising time-shifting, only shed two-tenths of a point in its second live-plus-same day outing. This Is Us averaged a strong 2.6 rating among adults 18-49, again topping scripted offerings for the night, and brought in 8.9 million viewers. That was after an also-steady episode of The Voice topped the entire night with a 3.2 rating in the key demo.
CBS' new series Bull only lost three-tenths of a point from its opening last Tuesday. It took a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 13.5 million viewers. On either side, CSI (2.1 adults) and CSI: New Orleans (1.5 adults) were comparatively steady.
Dancing With the Stars' Tuesday show dropped to a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 — falling 25 percent from last week, while Agents of SHIELD (which improved to a 2.0 rating in the key demo last week) was down to a 0.9 rating in its live-plus-same day showing.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine was the only Fox show to not lose any live-plus-same heat. It pulled a steady 1.0 rating in the key demo before New Girl (1.0 adults) and Scream Queens (0.8 adults) each took small hits from last week's premieres.
The CW had another new episode of MadTV, which averaged an even 0.2 rating with adults 18-49 and just 570,000 viewers.
