Let Us catch you up! Your favorite TV stars may have won big and slayed the red carpet style game at the 2016 Emmys, but there is so much more that went down during Sunday night’s ceremony that wasn’t caught on camera. (You can watch our top off-screen moments in the video above!)
Emmys 2016: Inside the Biggest Star-Packed Afterparties! Holland Taylor Was Girlfriend Sarah Paulson’s Biggest Emmys Fan Best Emmys Red Carpet Hair, Makeup LooksWhile viewers’ eyes were focused on the stage, plenty of fun moments took place in the audience. From unexpected celebrity interactions to afterparty shenanigans, Us Weekly — thanks to our reporters inside the event at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater and all of the post-show bashes — has rounded up what you didn’t see on TV.
Two A-Listers Nearly Take a Tumble
As stars entered the venue to find their seats, Sarah Paulson — who won Best Actress in a Limited Series or a Television Movie for her portrayal of prosecutor Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story — nearly tripped over Felicity Huffman’s tulle Tony Ward gown. Luckily, the two ladies dodged a fashion mishap!

A Few Queens Couldn’t Find Their Seats
RuPaul’s Drag Race’s RuPaul — who won the Emmy for Outstanding Host in a Reality Series at last week’s Creative Arts ceremony — and his costar Michelle Visage were lost in the lobby and had to ask ushers for instructions to their seats.
Stars Watched Football During Commercial Breaks
To everyone’s confusion, the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings football game was playing on the giant TV screens during commercial breaks. Jimmy Fallon, who was sitting close to Chris Rock, couldn’t help cracking a joke about the unlikely entertainment. “I’ve never seen them play football at the Emmys before,” the Tonight Show host, 42, told Rock, 51.

It’s Peanut Butter–Jelly Time!
As viewers witnessed during Sunday night’s telecast, host Jimmy Kimmel, along with Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo — the kid actors from Netflix’s Stranger Things — doled out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches handmade by Kimmel’s mother, Joann Iacono. The prepacked lunches, which also included apples, cookies and juice boxes, were devoured quickly by a handful of A-listers.

Top Chef’s Padma Lakshmi also savored her sandwich, taking bites from many angles. She also indulged in the cookie, essentially stuffing the entire treat in her mouth. Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband, Justin Mikita, finished theirs quickly, as did Sofia Vergara. They ate every last bit.
Jam Sesh
John Mayer was truly jamming out on his guitar with the band in the orchestra. He was communicating with one of the musicians near him and nodding yes while they played. Minutes before shredding, the musician — who famously dated Taylor Swift in 2009 — almost crossed paths with another ex of the 26-year-old “Shake It Off” singer: Tom Hiddleston. The Night Manager actor, 35, took the stage with Priyanka Chopra to the present Emmy for Best Directing in a Limited Series, which incidentally went to his director for The Night Manager, Susanne Bier.

So Starstruck!
Mr. Robot’s Rami Malek — who won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series — and his costar Portia Doubleday couldn’t help but freak out when they noticed they were seated near Kevin Spacey. Naturally, the two went over to say hi. Spacey, 57, began to introduce himself, and Doubleday, 28, said, “You don’t need to introduce yourself!” (This was before Malek, 35, beat Spacey in the same category!)
Dancing Diva
After the show was over, the stars hit the afterparty circuit. At Amazon’s fete at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, Transparent star Gaby Hoffmann busted out her best moves on the dance floor. The actress, 34, broke it down to the late Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Earlier in the evening, Hoffmann — who left the party around midnight — told Us on the red carpet that she and her daughter Rosemary, 22 months, like dancing at home to anything by Beyoncé or Britney Spears.

The Single Life Suits Him
Hiddleston, clad in a sharp tux, arrived with a group of guy friends to the HBO arterparty at West Hollywood’s Pacific Design Center a little after midnight. The hunky Brit — who recently split from T. Swift — happily posed for photos with fans. During the awards show, Hiddleston told Us that he attended TV’s biggest night as a single man. “No, I didn’t [bring a date],” he shared.

Vergara — sans husband Joe Manganiello — attended the Fox afterparty with a gaggle of girlfriends. When the ladies took a bathroom break, they monopolized the mirrors and counter space to freshen up. They asked the bathroom attendant for Band-Aids to help ease the pain from wearing high heels all night. The Latina beauty, 44, looked thankful when the attendant provided her with a pack of bandages, which she immediately covered her feet in before slipping back into her stilettos.
