Is Jennifer Lopez being pushed to reunite with Ben Affleck? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can exclusively reveal what’s going on.
An In Touch headline reads, “J.Lo’s Team Begs: Get Back With Ben!” According to the accompanying story, Lopez’s “inner circle is urging the newly single star to get back together with her famous ex.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “They think it would benefit her career and bring her back to her glory days when her movies and albums were No. 1.”
“Her camp wants her to be part of a superstar couple again,” claims the alleged tipster. The magazine notes that Lopez “isn’t against the idea.” The supposed snitch explains, “Jennifer still speaks to Ben and has always had a soft spot for him. She’s always believed maybe they’d reconnect one day. Anything can happen!”
Sure, anything can. But there is no secret plan in the works right now to reunite Lopez with Affleck. Gossip Cop is exclusively told the claim is “stupid” and “ridiculous.” We suspect In Touch only ran the allegation because it’s easy to link exes when they’ve recently split with their significant others. That’s why sister outlet Life & Style ran a false Lopez-Affleck “back together” story this week, too.
