Fifty Shades Darker, the highly-anticipated sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey, has just released its first trailer. Watch the teaser below!
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele for the second film in the Fifty Shades franchise, which is based on the trilogy of erotic romance novels by E.L. James. The first film saw Johnson’s character seduced by Dornan’s Grey, a handsome billionaire playboy who introduces her to a new world of sexuality. In the sequel, Johnson’s character must confront the anger and jealousy over Grey’s past lovers, while he will continue to wrestle with his own personal demons.
The cast of the movie also includes Rita Ora, Kim Basinger, Tyler Hoechlin, Bella Heathcote, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes and Hugh Dancy. As Gossip Cop reported, it was wrongly reported Dornan was quitting the Fifty Shades franchise because he’s supposedly embarrassed by the role. However, this is entirely untrue. In fact, the third movie in the series, Fifty Shades Freed, has already completed production as the two follow-ups shot back-to-back over the summer.
Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters February 10, 2017, while Fifty Shades Freed is set for release on February 9, 2018. Watch the first trailer for the sequel below!
