Jamie Dornan NOT Quitting ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Franchise, Despite Report

Jamie Dornan Quitting Fifty Shades

Jamie Dornan is NOT quitting the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, despite a bogus webloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this baseless claim.

Dornan stars as Christian Grey in the film series, which is based on a trilogy of erotic romance novels. In a recent interview on the British talk show, “The Morning,” the actor admitted the overnight fame he received from playing the role was a bit overwhelming. Celeb Dirty Laundry has now twisted Dornan’s words to make it seems as if he’s ungrateful for the role and trying to get out of the franchise.

The site blares in its headline, “Jamie Dornan Quitting Christian Grey Role,” without a single source to back up this claim. The purely speculative piece then says Dornan “didn’t realize that he would be mocked and ridiculed” for playing the role, but offers no example of anyone having scorned the actor for playing the part. In its actual article, the webloid makes no further mention of Dornan “quitting” the films and offers no evidence of such, but then asks its readers at the end of the piece, “Do you think Jamie Dornan is thinking about quitting his Christian Grey role? Is he regretting his Fifty Shades involvement?”

Allow Gossip Cop to answer these purely conjectural questions. No, Dornan isn’t quitting the Fifty Shades franchise, because he’s already completed his work on the series. The two upcoming sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, were shot back-to-back over the summer and will be released in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Despite this fact, there’s been no indication the actor has ever thought about quitting the movie franchise, and the webloid’s piece is simply ridiculous.
