Law & Order: SVU is gearing up for an ER reunion.

Anthony Edwards, who shared the screen with series star Mariska Hargitay on the NBC medical drama, is set to guest-star on an upcoming episode of her series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

No word yet on who Edwards will play on Law & Order: SVU, which kicks off its 18th season on Sept. 21. Edwards and Hargitay previously played love interests in the fourth season of ER, when Hargitay recurred as nurse Cynthia Hooper.

Edwards joins previously announced guest stars Henry Thomas (ET) and Kelli Williams (The Practice), who are both set to appear in the second episode of the season, loosely inspired by Making a Murderer. This season marks the NBC series' first with new showrunner Rick Eid.

"You just make sure you can deliver what people have come to expect, just making good shows," Eid told THR earlier this month about coming onboard. "As somebody running the show, the challenge is really getting to know the characters, the actual fictitious characters and then at the same time getting to know the actors."

Since his star turn as Dr. Mark Greene on ER, which earned him four Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe award, Edwards has gone onto TV projects including the ABC drama Zero Hour, as well as guest roles on Billions, Girls and Blue Bloods. He is repped by Gersh and Lovett Management.

Law & Order: SVU returns Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
