Calysta Bevier performed “Human” during Tuesday’s “America’s Got Talent” semifinals. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Bevier was Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer pick during the auditions. The 16-year-old cancer survivor impressed the music mogul with both her voice and her resilience. The advantage sent the teen straight to the live shows, where she again wowed with an aspiring performance of “Brave” for the “AGT” quarterfinals.
Now for the semifinals, the last hurdle before next week’s final round, Bevier gave another moving performance. Taking on Christina Perri’s emotional ballad, the aspiring star made the song both big and small at all the right moments. It led to a standing ovation from Cowell, along with Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.
Cowell told Bevier, “I want this to happen so much for you… I love the fact that you’ve been brave enough to share everything with us over the last few months. I think you’re a fantastic singer. That lyric meant a lot.”
Mandel noted, “The song, the lyric, and the package that proceeded it seemed to speak a lot deeper than what we just watched… You are a great example of survival.” And Klum said, “You definitely are not human. You are a super human. I was swept up in your performance; [it] made me very emotional.” Check out the full video below!
