Brian Justin Crum amazed with a performance of “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” for the “America’s Got Talent” semifinals on Tuesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Crum has been one of the season 11 frontrunners since his audition, for which he sang Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” Next came a standout rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep” during the Judge Cut round. And for last month’s “AGT” quarterfinals, Crum performed “In The Air Tonight,” putting his own spin the Phil Collins classic.
Now Crum had another chance to blow America away in hopes of making it into next week’s finals. And sure enough, the aspiring star received yet another standing ovation from the judges for his Tears For Fears cover. And this was to close the two-hour live broadcast, too.
Mel B told Crum afterward, “It’s kind of like when Beyoncé came on at the VMAs. Nobody else mattered. Nobody else matters right now. Perfection!” Heidi Klum said, “I agree with you, Mel. It was such a passionate and intense performance, and I loved it.”
Simon Cowell offered a bit of criticism, questioning the “style of the track,” but went on to say to Crum, “Is it your time? I do believe it is your time now, Brian… I have a feeling America’s gonna get behind you and we’re gonna see you in the finals.”
Howie Mandel further told the contestant, “I believe that you are ruling the world tonight.” He even added, “This was truly the strongest, best performance of the night. You owned it… You were the best tonight. What a way to end the show.” Check out the full video below!
