Football is almost upon us. And Thursday night saw a slew of preseason match-ups fill the broadcast dial.

NBC, the only network airing the NFL across the U.S., won primetime with an average 1.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers. That stat will likely inch upwards with time zone adjustments, but should guarantee a nightly win for the network.

CBS had local coverage of preseason NFL in some markets, as did Fox, so the strong score for Thursday Big Brother (1.9 adults) is also subject to adjustment. (Fox aired repeats, so it really doesn't matter.)

On ABC, the only Big Four net without any pigskin action on Thursday night, an original BattleBots brought a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49. The CW had a new episode of Beauty and the Beast (0.2 adults).
