Simone Biles continued to celebrate her Olympics gold medals with an appearance on Friday’s “GMA.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, the gymnast was literally a golden girl during her time in Rio. Biles won gold in the floor exercise final on Tuesday, as well as in the vault competition, individual all-around and team all-around events. She also took bronze for her work on the balance beam.
And, of course, Biles also had a surprise meeting with Zac Efron. Suffice it to say, this is one happy athlete. “I was just so shocked, I thought I was going to die,” Biles said of getting to meet her celebrity crush. “Good Morning America” correspondent T.J. Holmes wondered if she’d prefer a kiss over a medal, to which she confidently answered, “I’d take the gold medal, because in the end I could probably still get [the kiss] somehow.”
Biles plans to spend the day sightseeing in Brazil, but notes, “I’m very excited to go back to the States and try to get back into normal life.” That said, she and her fellow Team USA members will be going on a tour with Kelloggs, so “normal” won’t exactly be normal. “We’ve heard what it’s gonna be like, but you don’t know until it happens,” said the star, admitting, “We heard America is going crazy.”
Robin Roberts confirmed that, and promised Biles a pizza party right in Times Square. She also has some vacations in store. As for getting back to “work” in the gym, Biles is guessing it’s going to be “a while” before things “slow down” enough. And what’s her message to future wannabe Olympians?
