What a day to be Ryan Lochte.
Mixed reports regarding Lochte's claims that he was robbed at gunpoint in Brazil have surfaced, including an Associated Press report on Thursday stating a police official with direct knowledge of the investigation alleges that the gold medalist fabricated his story. NBC's Matt Lauer reported Wednesday night that he spoke with the swimmer via phone, and although Lochte admitted some details of his account had changed, he told Lauer, “we wouldn't make this story up… We're victims in this and we're happy that we're safe.”
Celebrities have taken to social media to react to the situation, offering commentary ranging from amused to outraged.
