Lindsey Kasabian is getting promoted at 20th Century Fox Television.

The longtime studio vet has been named vp casting. In her new position, she'll report to executive vp talent and casting Sharon Klein, for whom she was formerly an assistant.

Kasabian joined the company nearly a decade ago, rising through the ranks from coordinator to manager to director to vp. She serves as the studio's primary casting executive on Showtime's CIA drama Homeland for which she landed stars Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin and Rupert Friend, as well as supporting players Nazanin Boniadi and Miranda Otto.

Kasabian also supervises the casting of Hulu's Hugh Laurie starrer Chance, FX's recently Emmy-nominated The Americans and Middle Eastern drama Tyrant, USA's Queen of the South and Fox's remake of The Exorcist. Other talent that Lindsey has helped bring to the studio's shows includes Rainn Wilson, John Cho, Wilmer Valderrama, Curtis '50' Cent Jackson, Justin Kirk and Laverne Cox.

She's currently overseeing the Fox 21 TV Studios and Imagine Television anthology series Genius for National Geographic Channel, which will star Oscar winner Geoffrey Rush as the celebrated physicist Albert Einstein.

"Lindsey began as my assistant years ago and has consistently demonstrated an enthusiasm, creativity and talent for casting that's undeniably impressive," said Klein. "Showrunners from Alex Gansa to directors like Ron Howard rely on her judgment and trust her implicitly, and for good reason — she always delivers. She's an incredibly valuable member of my team who has more than earned this promotion to vice president."
