Tom Cruise has NOT been banned from Botox injections by producers of his upcoming The Mummy reboot, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”

According to OK!, the movie star often undergoes the cosmetic treatment but Mummy filmmakers want his character to “look extra rugged.” A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “He’s got way more wrinkles and crinkles than he’s used to. If there’s a mirror around, he’s checking it, smoothing his forehead and pulling at his crow’s-feet.”

The magazine’s dubious insider further purports Cruise is reluctantly “abiding by [the Botox ban] because he takes his career more seriously than anything,” despite the producers’ stipulation “killing him.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actor, who exclusively assures us no such ban exists, nor has any discussion about one ever taken place. We’re told the outlet’s entire story is simply “not true.”

This tall tale comes from the same magazine Gossip Cop recently debunked for falsely claiming Cruise was leaving Scientology for his Mummy co-star Annabelle Wallis. And shortly before that piece of fiction, we corrected the tabloid for its phony report about a supposed feud between Cruise and George Clooney. There was no truth to those stories, and the same goes for this latest one about the star.
