Kelsea Ballerini covered hit songs by Britney Spears, Shania Twain and Maroon 5 on Thursday’s episode of “Greatest Hits.” Watch the performance in the video below!
Ballerini co-hosts ABC’s new summer music series alongside Arsenio Hall. As Gossip Cop has reported, each episode showcases famous musicians paying tribute to the best songs from the ’80s, ’90s and 2000s. Thursday night was focused on 2000 to 2005, and this was the first time Ballerini took the stage to perform herself.
The country star sang a medley of Spears’ “…Baby One More Time,” Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” and Maroon 5’s “This Love.” Interestingly, “…Baby One More Time” came out in 1998, a year that was highlighted on a prior episode. “I Feel Like A Woman” is from 1999, though “This Love” does fit in tonight’s time period, as it was released in 2004.
This episode also included Fifth Harmony covering Destiny’s Child hits, Little Big Town reinventing Alicia Keys’ “Fallin’,” and duets with Zendaya and Mario, Pat Monahan and Kenny Loggins, and Rachel Platten and Lee Ann Womack. As Gossip Cop reported, last week’s “Greatest Hits” showcased the early ’90s, with Little Big Town covering the classic Oasis hit “Wonderwall,”, and Bonnie Raitt and Andra Day teaming up for a duet performance.
