Hayes Grier was involved in a car crash on Thursday, and taken to a hospital, according to his brother Nash. The Internet personality’s accident led to the Twitter trending topic #PrayForHayes,” which was begun by a tweet by Nash when he shared the sad news about his younger brother’s crash with his 5.6 million followers.
In a series of tweets, Nash wrote, “#PrayForHayes Just got a call on set that said Hayes was in a crash. He’s now in the hospital.” He followed up that message with another that read, “He can move & talk (thank god) but he’s coughed up a lot of blood. That’s all I know. Praying he has a quick recovery.” “Damn I hate hearing s**t like that on the phone scared me to death,” added Nash, before he stopped tweeting. Neither Hayes himself nor his parents have given updates on the the Internet star’s condition.
Just a little more than a week ago, it was announced that Hayes, who appeared on “Dancing With The Stars” in 2015, was getting his own comedic docu-series called “Top Grier,” featuring him trying to run his family’s 19-acre farm in Mooresville, North Carolina. The 12 30-minute episodes are slated to run on Verizon’s Go90.
As Gossip Cop noted, not long after Nash tweeted, “PrayForHayes,” it became a Twitter trending topic, with tens of thousands of fans expressing concern and good wishes for the Internet personality. “It’s so sad such a hard working inspirational young person is going through this. Wish him a speedy recovery,” wrote one fan. Another supporter tweeted, “Everyone knows he is a really strong person, all my prayers and support are with Grier’s family.”
Yet another fan expressed, “You gave us so much strength over the past years now it’s our turn to give it back.” And another supporter noted, “It puts me at ease seeing everyone tweeting #PrayForHayes knowing there are so many people praying for him makes me feel better.” Gossip Cop will update as soon as we get more information about Hayes’ crash and condition.
