Nahnatchka Khan has tapped Mandy Summers, formerly vp current programming at the studio, to oversee her Fierce Baby Productions banner.

Nahnatchka Khan is putting down roots at 20th Century Fox Television.

The Fresh Off the Boat creator has inked a pod deal with the studio and has tapped former 20th TV vp current programming to oversee her new production company.

Under the deal, Khan and her Fierce Baby Productions banner will create, write, develop and supervise television projects for the studio. She will also remain on board as showrunner on ABC's 20th TV-produced comedy Fresh Off the Boat. Mandy Summers, meanwhile, will head development for Fierce Baby and with Khan will manage the company's development slate as well as identify promising writers and projects for the latter to develop and supervise.

The deal keeps Khan at the studio, where she previously created ABC's short-lived but critical darling Don't Trust the B— in Apt. 23 and during her run as a writer on Fox's animated comedy American Dad.

"Nahnatchka is a brilliant comedic mind who can write material that runs the gamut —from projects as twisted and wickedly funny as her beloved Don't Trust the B—  to the inspired and broadly appealing Fresh Off the Boat," 20th president of creative affairs Jonnie Davis said. "We've been in business with her all the way back to the first season of American Dad, and if it's up to us, she'll never work anywhere else. She's both a spectacular talent and a dear friend to everyone at this studio, and we're thrilled she'll continue to create and develop new projects here for many years to come."

Said Khan: "I've been incredibly lucky to be at 20th for basically the entire run of my professional career. Thanks to Jonnie Davis and Howard Kurtzman for making this happen and for being the best partners in the game. And a huge thanks to Dana Walden and Gary Newman for always encouraging and supporting me. I'm proud to be on their team. And if Kim Kardashian decides to release a Snapchat video of me saying anything different, she'll be hearing from my lawyers."

For her part, Summers has been with 20th since 2003 and most recently served as vp current programming. Her duties included overseeing Khan's Fresh Off the Boat as well as Apt. 23 and a slate with the studio's Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother and Bones.

Khan is repped by WME.
