Mary J. Blige is getting divorced. The singer filed to divorce Martin “Kendu” Isaacs, her husband of 12 years, on Thursday.
While Blige’s petition does not list a date of separation, she blames the split on “irreconcilable differences.” She also indicated that Isaacs should not receive spousal support. The couple does not have any children together.
Blige and Isaacs wed in 2003. He has also served as her manager. It’s unclear if they will still continue to work together in that capacity.
