New Black Mirror episodes are coming to Netflix this fall.
On October 21, the dystopian anthology series will debut its six-episode third season, which features episodes starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, as well as one written by Mike Schur and Rashida Jones.
Series creator Charlie Brooker said at the Television Critics Association press tour that the upcoming season is more ambitious than previous ones, which aired on BBC. "It's ambitious in terms of scale, in terms of the talent we're working with and in terms of the world we've created," agreed executive producer Annabel Jones. "We hope the episodes still feel very grounded. We try to create an ultimately entertaining but thought provoking drama that also has a human element."
For his part, Brooker is, surprisingly, not a technophobe. In fact, he was vocal on stage about the role technology and media plays in his life when asked about the show's anti-tech message. "Technology is not ever a villain in the show — it's always about human failings and messes that technology has helped facilitate," he clarified.
And what about recent tech trends that Brooker feels like they missed out on this season? "I didn't see Pokemon Go coming," he laughed, later telling The Hollywood Reporter that he has seen a few fan videos that turn the mobile phenomenon into an episode of the anthology series.

"Nosedive" features Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve and James Norton in an episode directed by Joe Wright and written by Mike Schur and Rashida Jones.
"Men Against Fire" stars Michael Kelly, Malachi Kirby and Madeline Brewer in an episode directed by Jakob Verbruggen.
"Hated in the Nation" features Kelly MacDonald in an episode directed by James Hawes.
"Playtest" features Wyatt Russell and Hannah John-Kamen in an episode directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
