Natalie Portman is NOT “snubbing” Scarlett Johansson, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
Both actresses are married to Frenchmen, but according to OK!, Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied run in a more sophisticated social circle than Johansson and her husband Romain Dauriac. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Natalie has been careful to ingratiate herself with Paris’ cultural elite and build a flourishing social life with her husband. She speaks French and donates to charities there.” The magazine’s questionable insider then claims Johansson “complains that Parisians are rude and she and her husband sue anyone who takes their photo,” adding, “There’s been a backlash against her, and Natalie wants no part of it.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Portman, who exclusively assures us the outlet’s claim is simply “not true.” In fact, we’re further told the actress “doesn’t even live” in Paris anymore.
Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the publication’s made-up report. Gossip Cop recently corrected OK!’s sister publication, Star, for falsely alleging marital problems about both actresses. We first debunked the magazine’s baseless claim that Portman and Millepied were headed for divorce. And shortly after that piece of fiction, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Johansson and Dauriac’s marriage was “on the rocks.” There was no truth to either of those stories, and the same goes for this latest one involving both actresses.
