The Democratic National Convention continues in Philadelphia on Wednesday, and Gossip Cop has a live stream available online. Watch day three of the 2016 DNC below!
Wednesday’s theme is “Working Together,” with one of the major topics of the night centering around gun control. The headline speaker is President Barack Obama, who will endorse Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as his successor. Also taking the stage is Vice President Joe Biden, who will be introduced by his wife, Dr. Jill Biden.
Additional speakers include New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Reverend Jesse Jackson, and vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine. The evening’s celebrity participants include Sigourney Weaver, Star Jones, Lee Daniels, Angela Bassett, and a musical performance by Lenny Kravitz.
There will also be many victims of gun violence and family members of shooting victims speaking at the event. Some of those people include Erica Smegielski, whose mother Dawn was the Principal of Sandy Hook Elementary, Felicia Sanders and Polly Sheppard, two survivors of the Charleston Church shooting. Joining them are a few survivors of the Orlando nightclub shooting, as well as politician Gabby Giffords, who survived a gunshot wound to the head during an assassination attempt on her life.
