Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley are NOT headed for a split, despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
According to OK!, the actress’s rising fame is putting a strain on her nearly two-year relationship with the assistant director. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Tom’s had enough of being cast aside while Margot swans around the world cozying up to Hollywood’s leading men.” The magazine’s dubious insider adds, “He knows her team wants her to date someone more famous, and it’s hurtful to him.” The outlet’s seemingly manufactured source further purports that Ackerly “feels like he’s playing second fiddle to her co-stars” and is supposedly “getting more insecure, and starting to feel like he’s wasting his time.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Robbie, who exclusively tells us there are no problems in the couple’s relationship, and the publication’s claim otherwise is simply “false.” Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve called out OK! for alleging Robbie is “cozying up” to a male co-star.
Gossip Cop previously busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Jada Pinkett Smith was worried Will Smith was cheating with Robbie on the set of their film, Focus. This latest article about the actress is equally inaccurate.
