Laura Bretan was in tears after getting a standing ovation on “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday. Watch below!

As Gossip Cop reported, at just 13 years old, Bretan was Mel B’s Golden Buzzer pick on the “AGT” season premiere back in May. The advantage meant she got to skip over the Judge Cuts round, but it also meant she had to wait for the live shows to finally begin before she could perform again. Now 14, she was chosen to close the first edition of the season 11 quarterfinals.

The teen’s powerful performance led to a standing ovation from Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and, of course, her favorite judge, Mel B, who said that Golden Buzzer was obviously “well-deserved.” The Spice Girls singer went on, “My gosh, halfway through that song, you turned into somebody else. Where does this voice come from? It’s incredible and so powerful… I’m shaking inside.”

Cowell declared, “This is why we made the show, so we could find people like you. You are such a special, talented person.” He was particularly blown away by how Bretan seemed “awkward” at first, before going into “tubo-gear and just kill[ing] us with that vocal. I am so impressed, so happy with you.” The music mogul also said she made a “brilliant song choice.”

Klum noted, “What is so crazy to me is that the more challenging the notes get, the better you are… It is unbelieavable. I have chills. Every hair on my body is standing up.” And Howie Mandel observed, “You just made America the hardest night they’re about to have. We started the night with a talented 14-year-old singer, we ended the night with a talented 14-year-old singer.”

Of course, Mandel was referring to Jayna Brown, who opened tonight’s “AGT” with “Make It Rain.” Check out Bretan’s performance video below!
