VMAs Nominations 2016

(MTV)

The nominations for the 2016 VMAs were announced on Tuesday. Check out the full list of MTV Video Music Awards nominees below!

As Gossip Cop reported earlier, this year’s nominations were unveiled during a streaming event broadcast via Facebook Live. More than 10 street artists helped reveal the nominees for the top category, Video of the Year, by creating a mural. The artwork spotlights the artists and videos competing for the big award. Fans can now vote online to determine the winner in that category and for all the non-technical honors.

Now in its 33rd year, the upcoming VMAs ceremony will be held at Madison Square Garden for the first time. The event is returning to New York after spending the last three years on the West Coast, with Miley Cyrus emceeing the 2015 show. A host to follow in her footsteps has not yet been announced, but the festivities are slated to go down August 28 and Gossip Cop, of course, will have full coverage. Check out the nominations list below!
