The host accuses Damon of "stalking," to which the actor replies: "It's not if you're invited. The judge was very clear about that. If you just stopped inviting me, then maybe I wouldn't come. But you invite me everyday, you say I'm going to be on the show, and I've never been on the show. And so I took matters into my own hands."
Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon are still trying to work out their issues.
The duo returned to "therapy" on Monday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live for a second time, where Kimmel noted that Damon frequently shows up on the set of his ABC late-night show.
"It's technically stalking," Kimmel said of Damon's frequently showing up on the host's set.
Replied the Jason Bourne star: "It's not if you're invited. The judge was very clear about that. If you just stopped inviting me, then maybe I wouldn't come. But you invite me everyday, you say I'm going to be on the show, and I've never been on the show. And so I took matters into my own hands."
Referring to the Oscar special, in which Ben Affleck smuggled Damon onto the set in his coat, Damon said he bribed his friend. Asked if he felt betrayed by Batman v. Superman star Affleck, Kimmel replied: "I feel Bat-rayed. By Batman."
Kimmel also mocked the "marketing campaign" for Jason Bourne that Damon touted, which included a bumper sticker reading: "Honk if you're Bourney."
Damon and Kimmel have a long-standing "feud" that dates back to when Kimmel first started his talk show and began signing off with the line "Apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time" — the joke being that none of his guests possessed the star power of Damon.
Damon also vented his frustration to the therapist about Kimmel's time management, noting that he's been waiting 14 years to get on the show. Said Damon: "It's always the next night's show. 'You're going to be on tomorrow. You're going to be on tomorrow. Oh, Matt, we ran out of time.' I've never met somebody who's so horrible with time management."
In January 2013, the actor took control of Kimmel's show, starting with the credits — the ABC show's title was tweaked to Jimmy Kimmel Sucks, and the host's visage had been defaced — and continuing through the monologue, guest interviews and conclusion.
