Gwyneth Paltrow did not have a “meltdown” that included her “yelling at her kids,”at the Newark airport, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this uncorroborated story. We’re told the claim is “not true,” and the incident “never happened.”
According to OK!, Paltrow had a “meltdown” that allegedly involved her tearing into her children, Moses and Apple, at Newark Liberty International Airport. While the tabloid doesn’t have a specific date for when this supposedly occurred, it nonetheless claims Paltrow publicly blasted her son and daughter while going through immigration at the airport. The magazine even contends that several “onlookers were treated to the disturbing sight of Gwyneth yelling at her kids.”
A so-called “source” tells the publication, “She was speaking through clenched teeth and trying to keep her voice down, but she was clearly very mad.” The alleged eyewitness continues in unnaturally editorializing language, “She grabbed at poor Moses and snapped that he was being very rude. It was shocking to see her berate him like that, especially since Moses didn’t seem to be doing anything.” “It turns out she’s not as perfect as she’d like people to think,” adds the increasingly fabricated sounding “source.”
Gossip Cop would like to examine this story. It’s interesting how no other outlet reported this alleged meltdown, though Paltrow is an internally recognized star and her “yelling” publicly at her children supposedly took place in the 15th most busy airport in the United States. No one else saw this but OK!, which claims it had several “onlookers”? Additionally, it’s fascinating how the tabloid’s seemingly made-up “source” knew Paltrow’s son’s name and that she has a reputation for acting “perfect,” yet could not furnish the publication with a specific date for when this all seemed to have occurred.
Naturally, our BS meter started to sound off louder than a person with chains and a belt buckle going through an airport metal detector. A source at Newark Liberty International Airport tells Gossip Cop this “never happened,” and a rep for the actress similarly echoed that the tabloid’s tale is “not true.”
It may come as no surprise, but the tabloid has a poor track record with Paltrow. Back in 2014, Gossip Cop busted the magazine when it wrongly reported that Paltrow and Chris Martin’s split was getting ugly. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. We also corrected the publication when it falsely alleged Paltrow wanted to date Jake Gyllenhaal, Jared Leto and Mark Salling. And not long ago, Gossip Cop schooled the outlet when it inaccurately claimed Paltrow was flirting with Rob Lowe at his Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony. Not one of those stories proved to be true, and the same goes for the current tale about her having a meltdown at the Newark airport.
