The actress has signed on for Dick Wolf's latest Chicago spinoff, formerly titled 'Chicago Law.'
Joelle Carter is headed for the Windy City.
The Justified grad has signed on for NBC's Chicago Justice drama, formerly known as Chicago Law, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The actress will appear in episode 21 of Chicago P.D.'s current third season, which will serve as a backdoor pilot for Chicago Justice. Carter will play Lori Nagle, a tough-as-nails investigator.
She joins previously cast Philip Winchester and Nazneen Contractor.
This marks Carter's first series regular gig since Justified ended its six-season run nearly a year ago. The actress, who earned a Critics Choice Award nomination for her role on the FX critical darling, can currently be seen on Scandal.
Exec produced by Dick Wolf, the latest Chicago spinoff hails from his banner, Wolf Films, and Universal Television. If it goes to series, this would mark the fourth series in the Chicago franchise and Wolf's fifth drama at the network, also including Law & Order: SVU.
