Fox's buddy cop comedy The Enforcers is adding to its ranks.

Veronica Mars alum Ryan Hansen has booked a co-starring turn on the pilot starring Christine Woods and Niecy Nash, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The single-camera buddy comedy focuses on two wildly different single mothers (Woods, Nash) with dreams of being police officers who find themselves partnered as inspectors in the Code Enforcement Department. Instead of fighting crime, they have been relegated to handling petty code breaking like noise complaints, tree trimming and water misues.

Hansen will play the series regular role of Sean, a sexy, charming senior "code cop" in the office who doesn't take the job too seriously.

The actor, repped by Gersh, is currently starring opposite Billy Bob Thornton in the upcoming sequel to Bad Santa and has feature CHiPs in the works. On the small screen, he's best known for portraying fan-favorite role Dick in Veronica Mars and recently reprised the character for the Kickstarter-funded feature. His TV roles include CBS' Bad Teacher and 2 Broke Girls and Starz's Party Down.

Friends alums Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer will pen the script and executive produce the Warner Bros. Television comedy alongside Gail Mancuso, who will direct the pilot.
