Creator-star Rob Corddry announced Friday that the Adult Swim show's current run will be its last.

Childrens Hospital is closing its doors for good. The Emmy-winning alternative comedy will conclude its seven-season run on Adult Swim later this spring.

Creator and star Rob Corddry announced the news on Friday, tweeting, "Attention Staff, THANK YOU #ChildrensHospital fans! Your love for the show kept us loving it. That is all." (Corddry spoke at length about his decision to call it a day with Vulture.)

First a web series on TheWB.com, Childrens Hospital quickly found its way to Adult Swim — where it's aired 80 episodes since 2010. The project has won two Emmys for Outstanding Special Class – Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Program over its run, a category that was just recently expanded to accommodate the growing number of short form programming.

Created by Corddry and developed by the comedian with Jonathan Stern and David Wain, Childrens Hospital was a passion project for many. The revolving cast include comedy a-list — Megan Mullally, Ken Marino, Rob Huebel, Malin Akerman, Lake Bell and Erinn Hayes are among its regulars — and recurring players such as Jon Hamm Jordan Peele, Nick Offerman and Michael Cera.

The show was produced by The Corddry Company, Warner Bros. Television and Williams Street.
