TV Ratings: ‘The Voice’ Is Softer on Super Tuesday, ‘The Muppets’ Wraps Quietly

The NBC series still wins the night, albeit off from Monday and its comparable fall episode.

The Voice nabbed a Tuesday win for NBC with an average 3.0 rating among adults 18-49.

After a steady return on Monday night, virtually tied with its fall premiere, the two-hour episode was off four-tenths of a point in its second outing — and off half of a point from its Tuesday bow in the fall. The show helped NBC easily win the 10 p.m. contest for Super Tuesday results among younger viewers.

CBS ranked second for the night, with its NCIS block slightly humbled against The Voice. The parent series was off four-tenths of a point for a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49, while New Orleans dropped just two-tenths for a 1.6 rating in the key demo.

The Fox comedy block was ever status quo, with New Girl (1.1 adults), Grandfathered (0.8 adults), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (0.8 adults) and The Grinder (0.6 adults) all steady with last week.

ABC aired back-to-back episodes of The Muppets, the conclusion to the troubled series' first and perhaps only season. The show was steady with respective 0.9 and 0.8 ratings in the key demo. Another show that ended on uncertain ground is Agent Carter. The Marvel drama averaged just a 0.7 rating with adults 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers in its sophomore finale.
