The Blind Auditions continued on season 10 of The Voice tonight, with coaches Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton all adding new talent to their teams.

Going into tonight’s auditions, Pharrell already had three artists on his team, and Levine, Aguilera and Shelton all had two each.

Joe Vivona kicked off the night, singing “Dreaming With A Broken Heart” by John Mayer. Vivona described his sound as “soulful rock.” Fittingly, Levine turned first, followed by Shelton and Pharrell. Vivona definitely would fit on either Team Adam or Team Pharrell. He ultimately went with the latter, bringing Team Pharrell up to four artists already.

Shalyah Fearing, who plays keyboard and sings in a family band with her big family, auditioned next, hoping to use The Voice to launch her solo career. She sang “What Is Love” and secured an early turn from Aguilera, who heard something special in Fearing. Fearing, who is only 15-years-old, showcased impressive range and tone, and it’s fine that no other coaches turned, because she belongs on Team Christina.

Next, Adam Wakefield, who gigs around Nashville, took the stage next for a performance of “Tennessee Whiskey.” He played guitar, and and his experience as a full-time musician came through in his audition. Levine, always hoping to land a country singer, turned first. Shelton followed, leading to a classic showdown between the rival coaches. Wakefield unsurprisingly chose Shelton.

He was followed by Caroline Burns, who first auditioned in season 9 but didn’t turn any chairs. This time around, she sang “So Far Away” by Carole King and first caught the ears of Levine. Shelton turned at the last second for another Levine-Shelton showdown. “I am so proud that I heard it and turned right away,” Levine said, noting how much she has improved since last season. She joined Team Adam.

Scottish singer-songwriter Natalie Clark sang “All Right Now” next, but nerves affected her control. None of the coaches turned for her. Shelton praised her verses but said she sounded strained on the chorus.

Hoping for better luck, Emily Keener auditioned next, singing “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” She got a four-chair turn almost right away. It was a great song choice, allowing Kenner to show off her range and power. Keener has a very different voice, and there wasn’t really an obvious choice for which team she belonged to. “Your voice is like nothing I’ve ever heard before. It’s like a completely new sound,” Shelton said. Keener joined Team Pharrell.

Experienced blues singer Laith Al-Saadi auditioned next. He had strong vocals and was excellent on the guitar, too. Levine and Shelton turned for him, and Al-Saadi joined Team Adam. “I’m a rocket at heart, and I had to pick Adam,” Al-Saadi said.

Angie Keilhauer said she fell in love with the idea of songwriting when she grew up listening to her mother’s Dolly Parton records. Before coming to The Voice, Keilhauer sang on a cruise ship for a living. But she wants to be able to reach people with her music without the cruise line. She sang “I Hold On” by Dierks Bentley and played guitar. Levine, Pharrell and Shelton turned for her. “You have so much control,” Pharrell said. “You kept getting better and better as the performance went on,” Levine added. Keilhauer joined Team Blake.

Theron Early auditioned next, singing “Amazed” by Lonestar. Before his audition, he explained that he doesn’t consider himself a country singer, but he is drawn to a range of genres and likes to bring his own style to them. He was hoping for a chair turn from Shelton, but he didn’t get any turns. Pharrell and Aguilera came close to pressing their buttons, but it just wasn’t tight enough for them.

Closing out the night, Kata Hay sang “Redneck Woman” by Gretchen Wilson. Hay brought a ton of energy and killer vocals to The Voice stage. Levine, Aguilera and Pharrell all turned at the last minute, and Hay immediately rushed down to hug them. After a quick smooch with Aguilera, Hay joined Team Christina.
