Fox's Pitch and ABC's Conviction are rounding out their casts.

Wonder Years alum Dan Lauria has joined Fox baseball pilot Pitch, while Once Upon a Time's Merrin Dungey has boarded ABC drama pilot Conviction.

Fox's Pitch centers on a young female pitcher (Under the Dome's Kylie Bunbury) who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues. Lauria will play Al Sciutto, the team's grizzled but steady manager. He joins a cast that includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the catcher, Elisabeth Shue as the pitcher's image rep and Mark Consuelos as the team's general manager, among others.

Repped by Talentworks and Jeff Berger Management, Pitch marks Lauria's return to series-regular broadcast television following ABC's critical darling Wonder Years. Should Pitch move to series and Fox renew The Grinder, he would reunite with Wonder Years' Fred Savage at the network. Lauria's TV credits also include TBS' Sullivan & Son as well as NBC's Perception.

Grandfathered's Dan Fogelman will pen the script and executive produce the 20th Century Fox Television pilot alongside Rick Singer, Tony Bill, Helen Bartlett and Paris Barclay, with the latter set to direct the pilot.

Conviction, meanwhile, tells the story of Carter Morrison (Agent Carter's Hayley Atwell), the brilliant but ne'er-do-well daughter of a former president, who is blackmailed into taking a job as the head of Los Angeles' newly created Conviction Integrity Unit. She, along with her team of lawyers, investigators and forensic experts, works to re-examine cases where there's credible suspicion that the wrong person may have been convicted of a crime. Dungey will play Maxine, the lead investigator for the CIU. A former NYPD detective who comes from a family of cops, she's tough and no-nonsense but finds her previously unfailing loyalty to the badge tested as she delves into her former colleagues' cases.

Jessica Jones' Liz Friedman will pen the script and executive produce the ABC Studios/Mark Gordon/eOne drama alongside Liz Friedlander, Mark Gordon and Nicholas Pepper. Friedlander will direct the pilot. Shawn AshmoreEmily Kinney and Manny Montana co-star.

Dungey, repped by Gersh, Industry Entertainment and Jackoway Tyerman, has had a recurring role on Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine and co-starred on Freeform's Chasing Life in addition to playing Ursula on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
