This would mark Moore's first TV role since she guest-starred on 'Will & Grace' in 2003.
Demi Moore is returning to TV for her first major role in 20 years.
The actress has signed on to star in the drama 10 Days in the Valley from Rookie Blue co-creator Tassie Cameron, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Moore will play Jane Sadler, an overworked writer and single mother in the middle of a tumultuous separation. When her 5-year-old daughter is taken from her bed in the middle of the night, Jane must put everything on the line — including her TV show, her loyalties and her deepest and darkest secrets — to get her child back.
Cameron wrote the project and will serve as executive producer and showrunner on the series, which is being produced by Skydance Television. The drama is currently being shopped to networks.
This marks the first series-regular role for Moore since she got her break on the soap General Hospital, on which she appeared from 1981-84. The actress then transitioned to big-screen roles in such pics as St. Elmo's Fire and About Last Night ... . Her recent film credits include Very Good Girls and Forsaken.
Moore is not the first film actress to be lured to TV by Skydance, which also produces Netflix's Grace and Frankie, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Skydance also recently signed award-winning writer Marti Noxon (UnREAL, Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce, Mad Men) to a big overall deal.
