Unforgettable has been canceled (again).
The Poppy Montgomery-led procedural, which ran for CBS on three seasons before getting canceled and moving to A+E, will not return for a fifth season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
This is technically the third time Unforgettable has gotten the ax. The series was canceled by CBS after just one season in 2012. The network then resurrected the drama and aired it in the summers of 2013 and 2014 before opting not to move forward with a fourth season. A+E then picked up the series, with the fourth season premiering in November. The last episode aired Jan. 22.
Unforgettable centered on a female detective (Montgomery) who has a special condition that gives her the ability to visually remember everything. Taxi alum Marilu Henner, one of the few known to have the condition, served as a consultant on the show and also appeared in an episode. The series also starred Dylan Walsh.
Unforgettable was a co-production between CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television, the latter which handled international distribution. Ed Redlich, John Bellucci, Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman served as executive producers.
A+E's decision continues in the recent trend of vertical integration, with many networks choosing projects produced in-house over series from outside studios.
Upcoming A+E dramas include Damian and The Infamous, which hails from A+E Studios.
