Greg Garcia has scored his second pilot order of the season.

The CBS Television Studios-based writer-producer will reunite with The Millers alum Stephnie Weir for an untitled comedy ordered to pilot at CBS.

The Weir multicamera comedy centers on a conservative, small-town family forced to reconcile their values when they discover their children's lives are less than perfect.

Weir will pen the script and exec produce alongside Garcia and his Amigos de Garcia banner topper Alix Jaffe, who is attached as a co-EP.

The CBS order marks Garcia's second pilot pickup of the season and joins NBC's multicamera comedy Sebastian, which stars comedian Sebastian Maniscalco as a guy whose old-school values, instilled by his opinionated Italian father, are constantly put to the test by his new wife, her family and the absurdities of the modern world. That comedy reunites Garcia with The Millers' Austen Earl, who will pen the script.

For CBS, the Garcia comedy becomes the network's 16th overall and eighth comedy. (The network ordered 18 last year, split evenly between comedy and drama.) The multicamera comedy becomes the network's fifth this season — up one from a year ago — as the format remains a priority for new network president Glenn Geller.

The untitled Weir comedy also becomes the latest in a long roster of family comedies this pilot season as broadcasters look to portray a better reflection of society and parts of the population that aren't typically represented.
