Ben Higgins Breaks Bachelor Rules

Ben Higgins broke the rules on “The Bachelor,” telling two women “I love you” before making his final pick. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Monday’s episode marked the halfway point of the current season, with 11 women still vying for Higgins’ affections. Filming, however, completed last year. And on this week’s “Bachelor Live” post-show, host Chris Harrison revealed that Higgins made an “unprecedented” move as he neared the competition’s proposal point.

Longtime fans know the lead is traditionally forbidden from saying those three words to a contestant prior to the proposal. But Higgins apparently didn’t care. In teaser footage, the Bachelor is seen saying, “I told two women this week that I love them.” While the identities of those ladies aren’t revealed, the preview indicates Higgins is in quite the pickle.

“Honestly, I do love you,” Higgins says to one girl off-camera. To another he says, “This is really hard for me, because I’ve known I’m in love with you for a while as well.” In another clip, Higgins tell his family, “I love both of them. They’re too good to walk away from.”

The footage goes on to show Higgins crying over saying “goodbye to a woman who doesn’t deserve it,” even calling it “the biggest mistake I’ve made.” “I don’t want to say goodbye,” he tells the camera, “because that’s how much I love her.”

After playing the preview on “Bachelor Live,” Harrison stressed, “Truly this has never happened [before].” Higgins acknowledged, “I did fall in love with two women during this. Going into it I didn’t think I could, but I really tried to concentrate and make each relationship its own, and, you know, stay open to the process, and as a result this is where it’s left us.”

Indeed. Check out the videos below.
