'Sisters' and 'Daddy’s Home' are also among the films headed to the cabler.
The Martian is heading to FX.
The cabler and its suite of networks (FX, FXX, FXM and FXNOW) has nabbed the rights to the Oscar-nominated film starring Matt Damon, which has grossed over $227 million domestically and held the No. 1 spot for four weekends since its October release.
FX Networks has also secured the exclusive U.S. commercial television premiere rights to Ride Along 2, following its opening weekend atop the domestic box office. Additionally, as part of its deal with Universal Pictures, FX has scored the rights to Sisters, Daddy’s Home, The Perfect Guy, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Hotel Transylvania 2, The Peanuts Movie, The Night Before, Krampus and Goosebumps.
Those films will join all the other major releases that can be seen on the basic cable channel, including Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation, Minions, Jurassic World, Furious 7, Trainwreck, Spy, Pixels, Terminator: Genisys, Ted 2, Pitch Perfect 2, Taken 3, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Home.
