CBS is back in business with the creators of How I Met Your Mother.
The network has handed out a pilot order to hybrid comedy My Time/Your Time, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Executive produced by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, the comedy is written by Hilary Winston and based on Avital Ash's web series 7P/10E. The CBS Television Studios/Sony Pictures Television co-production chronicles the relationship of a young couple as they begin dating long distance.
Bays and Thomas will exec produce via their respective Sony Pictures Television-based Bays Airlines and Chocolate Cow Studios banners. In addition to penning the script, Winston (Marry Me, Bad Teacher, Happy Endings, Community, My Name Is Earl)will also exec produce via her SPT-based Gifted and Talented Camp banner.
My Time/Your Time marks CBS' second comedy pilot order of the season and joins the untitled family comedy based on Australian format Upper Middle Bogan.
The comedy brings Bays and Thomas back to CBS following their nine-season run on How I Met Your Mother. The network previously attempted a spinoff, How I Met Your Dad, with the duo but that did not move forward.
