Airing Jan. 26 as part of the 'MLB Network Presents' series.
MLB Network is looking to Captain Kirk for its upcoming Expos documentary.
William Shatner has been tapped to narrate the baseball-themed network's doc on the former Montreal Expos, "The Colorful Montreal Expos." The episode, set to air Jan. 26 at 9 p.m., is the next installment of MLB Network Presents.
Shatner, a Montreal native, will focus on how the unique culture, history and heritage of the team made it one of baseball's most distinctive franchises.
Set to participate are former players Warren Cromartie, Andre Dawson, Cliff Floyd and Rondell White. The former Expos will relive various points in the team's history — starting with original owner Charles Bronfman.
Also set to participate is former All-Star Rusty Staub on the birth of Montreal baseball in 1969. Sandy Carter, the widow of Expos Hall of Famer Gary Carter, will also be joined by Tim Raines, Steve Rogers, Pedro Martinez and more.
The documentary series is part of MLB Network's off-season schedule.
