Chelsea Handler Talks Racism With Al Sharpton in New Netflix Doc Promo

"I make fun of everyone," says Chelsea Handler. "And I think that's helpful."

Netflix dropped a new teaser for its Chelsea Handler project, previewing one of the hot-button topics tackled: racism. The clip includes her discussing the U.S.-Mexico border and police brutality in South Carolina, and also speaking with fellow comedian Aasif Mandvi and civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton ("Is that offensive to you, that black people like watermelon and fried chicken?").

In her new four-part documentary series (a precursor to her own talk format that's set to follow later in 2016), the comedian explores a different area of her own personal fascination. Besides racism, the series touches on drugs, marriage and Silicon Valley.

Handler told reporters in July that all four docs begin with her meeting with a psychologist, with whom she can talk through her issues on each particular subject. The episodes are directed by Eddie Schmidt (This Film Is Not Yet Rated).

Chelsea Does... premieres Jan. 23 on Netflix.
