Teresa Giudice was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut on Wednesday morning at 5:01 a.m. after serving nearly a year in the prison for bankruptcy and mortgage fraud.
As Gossip Cop reported this past January, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star began what was to be a 15-month prison sentence, but Giudice has gained back her freedom more than three months early and just in time for Christmas.
Her husband Joe Giudice was also convicted of bankruptcy fraud, and is expected to begin his 41-month prison sentence in March. The federal judge overseeing the case spaced out the Giudice’s jail terms so that one would be available to care for their four daughters while the other was behind bars.
As per the conditions of her released, Giudice will be on home confinement until February 5.
