Charlie Puth and Seal are slated to perform during the Miss Universe pageant, and judges include Emmitt Smith, Niece Nash, and Olivia Culpo, who first won Miss USA in 2012 and then went on to become Miss Universe 2012. The judges will evaluate the 80 contestants, from everywhere from Albania to Venezuela in evening gown, swimsuit, and interview categories.
Miss USA Olivia Jordan will represent the United States in the competition, carrying the hopes and dreams of a nation. Jordan is a model and actress, who has appeared in Hot Tub Time Machine 2, walked in New York Fashion Week, and has appeared in such magazines as Cosmopolitan. Apparently, she’s also great baker, who won a pie-making contest at Boston University, and knows every line of every episode of “Friends.”
According to the Miss Universe Organization, its mission is to “encourage every woman to get out of her comfort zone, be herself, and continue to define what it means to be confidently beautiful.” The pageant explains that a “confident woman has the power to make real change, starting in her local community with the potential to reach a global audience.”
