Showtime has revealed a first look at its Twin Peaks revival.

The network released a new teaser trailer for the David Lynch drama, which originally aired on ABC from 1990 to 1991 and is now set to return as a limited series on the cabler in 2017. The minute-long clip is scheduled to air during the season finales of Homeland and The Affair this Sunday.

Currently in production, Twin Peaks is written and produced by series creators and executive producers Lynch and Mark Frost and is directed entirely by Lynch. Familiar faces like Kyle MacLachlan (FBI agent Dale Cooper in the show) will reprise their roles in the reboot.

"Location sometimes becomes a character," says the narrator in the video. "There are a lot of holy places up here, a lot of sacred places. I can't put my finger on how I would describe it. It just touches something in the psyche."

The cult favorite followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. When the town's sheriff welcomed the help of FBI agent Cooper to investigate the case, the town's secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Now, the story continues twenty-five years later.
