Caitlyn Jenner was named 2015’s “Most Fascinating Person” by Barbara Walters, who revealed her pick on the annual “10 Most Fascinating People” special, which aired Thursday night on ABC. See the video below!

Jenner, of course, has had a remarkable year transitioning from a man to a woman. In April, she announced to the world in an ABC special with Diane Sawyer interview, “I am a woman.” She later posed for a Vanity Fair cover and revealed in the accompnying interview that her name was Caitlyn.

Jenner then starred in her own E! reality series, “I Am Cait.” And, as Gossip Cop was the first to report, Jenner was tapped Glamour magazine’s 2015 “Women Of The Year.” Most significantly, throughout the year, Jenner fought tirelessly on behalf of the transgender community.

Walters has been compiling a list of the world’s most fascinating people since 1993, with a mix that includes celebrities, politicians, and assorted other public figures. And the rest of this year’s lineup was no different. The other 2015 “Most Fascinating People” were Donald Trump, Amy Schumer, Bradley Cooper, ballet dancer Misty Copeland, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, Tracy Morgan, fashion designer Donna Karan, and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, all of whom Walters interviewed for the special.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, recent “Most Fascinating Person” winners included Amal Clooney (2014), Hillary Clinton (2013), General David Petraeus (2012) and Steve Jobs (2011). Jobs was the first “Most Fascinating Person” to be honored posthumously.
