The Awesomes has been grounded -- at least temporarily.

Hulu has canceled the animated superhero comedy from Saturday Night Live alums and Late Night duo Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The news comes after three seasons on the streaming service. However, the series is being shopped elsewhere.

Thanks to creators Meyers and Shoemaker, as well as executive producer Lorne Michaels, The Awesomes has never short on impressive voiceover talent. In addition to Meyers, other series regulars included Ike Barinholtz, Taran Killam, Kenan Thompson, Rashida Jones, Bill Hader, Rachel Dratch and Bobby Moynihan.

Hulu picked up the half-hour comedy in 2013 after Syfy and MTV first expressed interest.

The series was produced by Michaels' Broadway Video, along with Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions and Bento Box Entertainment.

The decision not to renew the series is a rare move for Hulu as the streaming company looks to increase its slate of original series. Next year, the company will unveil the Stephen King-J.J. Abrams drama 11/22/63 and Jason Katims' The Path.

Last week, Hulu earned its first Golden Globe nomination for original series Casual.
