A new edition of “Mean Tweets” aired on Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” with Sean Penn, Liv Tyler, and more stars. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, “Mean Tweets” is a recurring segment in which celebrities read aloud some of the cruel things people have written about them on Twitter. Over the years, there’s also been themed installments focusing exclusively on music stars, basketball players, country performers, and other niche groups. One installment back in March only featured President Obama, and in September, Kimmel actually had a “Mean Tweets” week, during which several new sketches premiered.
Now, the show is up to “Mean Tweets #9,” and it was another doozy. Penn looked perplexed as he read, “Sean Penn, you rude! Dumb, rude and full of farts. You stanky Sean, real time stanker.” In contrast, Liv Tyler actually laughed after reading, “Must be hard for Liv Tyler having a father that is just a giant ballsack.” No word yet if Steven Tyler finds the tweet as funny as his daughter did.
Elsewhere in the segment, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Elizabeth Banks, Daniel Radcliffe, Kirsten Dunst, Viola Davis, Matthew Perry, Lake Bell, Sarah Paulson, and Colin Ferrell read “Mean Tweets” about themselves.
