Jordan Smith and Usher performed “Without You” on “The Voice” season 9 finale on Tuesday. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Smith competed in the first part of the finale on Monday, during three final rounds of competition. Of the final four contestants, however, he’s been the frontrunner all season long. And that showed on the iTunes Top 100 chart on Tuesday, where he had the number one song with “Mary Did You Know?”

Smith’s other two performances charted in the number three and five spots, and that allowed the aspiring star to make history. He’s now the first artist from the NBC competition to chart in the top 10 of the iTunes Top 100 chart during each and every week of the live shows. That’s made him seem like a shoo-in to win the season, but he has to wait until the end of the final two-hour broadcast to find out if he did achieve the ultimate accomplishment.

The new duet with Usher marked the former coach’s return to the series. The music star served on the show’s panel during seasons 4 and 6. And season 6 ended in 2014 with Usher as the winning coach as his artist Josh Kaufman was named the victor.

Usher released “Without You” as a collaboration with David Guetta back in 2011. It went to number one on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart, and was seemingly inescapable on the radio and in clubs. The performance now with Smith definitely put some more vocal power on the track. Watch below!
